Let’s dive in! 🚀
🧭 SCOUT MISSIONS
This brand new feature allows you to send your heroes out on solo missions that run in the background. So while you’re conquering the leaderboard or just going about your day, your champions are completing missions. Let’s break it down. 💥
WHERE TO FIND SCOUT MISSION HQ
Access the Scout Missions HQ from the Eighth Era main menu, just above the campaign globe. This feature is available to all Eighth Era players. There’s no level cap to participate.

HOW TO SEND A HERO ON A MISSION
Once you’re in HQ, you’ll find empty Era portals that you can fill with available heroes from your roster. You’ll only have access to the Eras you’ve unlocked in the campaign. So if you’ve completed the campaign on any difficulty, you’ll have eight Eras that you can fill.
To send a hero on a mission, simply drag the hero into the Era of your choice.

Then, set a timer for how long your hero is gone on their mission. The longer your hero is away on a mission, the more rewards you’ll receive. But choose wisely! Any hero on a Scout Mission will not be available for PvP, Exhibit, or Campaign battles while they’re away.

Need a hero to come back early? You can use gems to recall a hero with the full slate of rewards.

Now, let’s get to the good stuff: rewards!
HOW REWARDS WORK
Every Scout Mission will earn you XP chips and direct XP for the hero you sent on the mission. Additionally, you may receive:
- Equipment
- Hero Rank Up Coins
- Real Coin Fragments
The Era in which a Scout Mission takes place determines your rewards. For example, if you send a hero to the Third Era, they may bring back Guardian gear and rank up coins for heroes like Gwen, Tabs, Tatter, and Hetra of Nectanebo.
However, the exact rewards and amounts are determined via loot table rolls. You can increase your odds with a variety of factors.
Direct XP Rewards
The amount of XP your hero earns depends on the length of the Scout Mission and the current Campaign completion.

Longer Scout Missions Grant More Rewards
Choose the length that fits your strategy. Will you go for a hands on approach with frequent short missions or let your heroes do the work for you on longer missions?

Stronger Heroes Increase Your Chances
The power level of your hero influences the amount of rewards you can earn on a given Scout Mission. So send out the big guns to get the biggest return! But don’t forget: you won’t have access to them while they’re away.
Note: These modifiers only apply to Equipment and Hero Rank Up Coin rewards. XP chips are not affected by these modifiers.

Maximize Your Chances with Faction Training Bonuses
At the top of Scout Mission HQ, you’ll see icons next to “Training Bonus”. Sending heroes from these factions on Scout Missions will get you an additional .20 chance modifier, which means you’ll have a better shot at acquiring equipment and hero coins!
Real Coin Fragments
Each day, one Era is randomly selected to contain a Real Coin Fragment. Only Scout Missions sent to that Era are eligible to drop fragments. Only have a few Eras unlocked in campaign? Don’t worry, the fragment will only appear in an Era you have access to. So if you’re new to Eighth Era and still in the First Era, that’s where the Fragment will be.
Fragments are up for grabs in all mission lengths.
There are two kinds of Fragment drops: common (2 Fragments) or jackpot (20 Fragments). Each mission can yield only one drop.

Redeeming Your Coin Fragments
Once you’ve collected 350 Real Coin Fragments, you can redeem them for a mystery Real Coin! You’ll immediately redeem your Real Coin once you collect 350 Fragments, which will trigger a coin form just like in the tournaments.
These Scout Mission Real Coins will be random pulls from the vault. Currently, the Scout Mission vault includes Team Coins, Battle Pass Season Coins, and promotional Maxine, Felix, and Clonk coins.
Old tournament coins are currently not in the Scout Mission vault, but we’re currently developing a way to have these up for grabs in the future.
